Tina looks after her nephew Kelwin who has behavioural issues and requires special needs support. They live at Ntaria community and Tina would like respite care for Kelwin in Alice Springs. Tina thinks that Kelwin needs specialist care.
Tina: ...for his behaviour he just only have one tablet in the morning at school and that tablet just help him for one hour. And he’s really good, he’s listening to teacher for one hour only
Sheree: But then after that nothing?

Tammy: So can you just tell me what what's wrong with Kelwin, the little boy that you're looking after that has a disability… 13 year-old?
Tina: His behavior, is really bad, and... at school and at home, too and he need more support like special need and someone to work with him. I'm his auntie. Cos, like my sister used to take care of Kelwin, and she passed away and I had to take care of him.
Tammy: Does he talk or write? Does he have good speech?
Tina: Nah, not really
Tammy: So do you think he might have something like autism?
Tina: Yes. I want to see Kelwin, like, going to a good school, more support, and maybe going to respite sometime… For a week… one or two week.
Tammy: Where abouts?
Tina: In Alice Springs - he likes going football, basketball or swimming, or movies, cinema.
Tammy: When he's with you, what sort of help do you need for him?
Tina: Like someone to sit with him for half an hour, or…
Tammy: To talk to him?
Tina: Talk to him. About his behaviour, and, should be strong. For his behavior, he just only have one tablet in the morning at school and that tablet just help him for one hour and he's really good - he's listening to teacher for one hour only.
Sheree: But then after that nothing?
Tina: After that nothing.
Sheree: Anything that would help? Anything you'd like for your life?
Tina: Mmm, I need more support for my life, too.
