It would make a massive difference, wouldn’t it? If you had transport, home and hearing aid?
PATRICIA: Yeah

PATRICIA: Inaudible
WANATJURA: She’s talking about like a bus, she struggles with taking the bus. Like bush bus, she doesn’t have money for that
PATRICIA: Inaudible
WANATJURA: The only time she goes- The only time she goes to Alice is when there’s appointment from the doctors like from here, for an x-ray or something
TAMMY: Who takes her?
WANATJURA: Um she goes on the bush bus on her own and then sometimes they need someone to translate or something. But there’s people over there who knows her language, like sign language. That she knows, one fella, his uncle does sign language so he meets up with her over in Alice at the clinic, hospital and stuff. So yeah she does have someone to help her if I’m not around
TAMMY: So she, she has inaudible
W: Yeah
PATRICIA: Inaudible

PATRICIA: Inaudible
WANATJURA: Like she also struggles with staying at other people’s places, like houses
PATRICIA: Inaudible
WANATJURA: Because she’s good when she’s all alone in the house so she doesn’t have a house at the moment, so…
PATRICIA: Inaudible
TAMMY: Has she ever had her own house? Is she capable of living on her own?
WANATJURA: Yes of course
PATRICIA: Inaudible
WANATJURA: Because at the moment she’s moving house to house a lot, because there’s trouble, there’s always argument and stuff. Arguing over something, little things, food maybe or money or power or something. So it’s hard for her yeah and that’s when she fires up and just runs amuck and wants to beat people. But yeah so that’s one of the ones that she struggles with as well maybe, is with a house
TAMMY: So just looking at other things that she would like to do in life, what are some things that would help her out? She’s mentioned a licence, a drivers licence. She finds it difficult to get a licence because of her deafness
WANATJURA: Yep
TAMMY: Um she’s talked about, what was the other one? It was just in my mind
WANATJURA: Um communication and then work, like a job or something
SHEREE: Transport? Is that what you said?
TAMMY: Transport
WANATJURA: There was transport as well
TAMMY: Housing and accommodation?
WANATJURA: Yep
SHEREE: Hearing aid
WANATJURA: Hearing aid, that’s the one
TAMMY: Hearing aid, that’s right, a hearing aid was the other one
WANATJURA: Mmm
PATRICIA: Yep *thumbs up* Inaudible
SHEREE: It would make a massive difference, wouldn’t it? If you had transport, home and hearing aid
PATRICIA: Yeah
SHEREE: It’d change your life
PATRICIA: Yeah
